Bring us a smile, a little imagination, and a grown-up's permission. We'll turn a real family photo into a custom printable coloring page, Sweet Marie's style.
This is one of our favorite Kids Corner ideas because it starts with real kids, real Carolina days, and real memories — then turns them into something families can color, keep, and share.
How It Works
No big production. No awkward school-picture energy. Just a fun Sweet Marie's activity that lets kids become part of the Kids Corner world.
Get your photo taken
At participating Sweet Marie's events, families can stop by and have a quick photo taken for the coloring page.
We create the page
We turn the photo into a printable black-and-white coloring page. Sometimes it may keep the original setting. Sometimes we may add a fun background or character when that fits the activity.
We send the link
A parent or guardian gives us an email address so we can send the printable download link when the page is ready.
Color and share
Families can print it, color it, bring it back, and add it to the Sweet Marie's Virtual Refrigerator when that option is available.

Why We Do This
Sweet Marie's Kids Corner is not supposed to feel like a worksheet folder. It should feel like Grandma's refrigerator covered in artwork, a coloring book on the kitchen table, lemonade in a cup, and a family day worth remembering.
This project lets kids see themselves as part of the story. The Carolina Characters can help guide the adventure, but the heart of the page is the family, the child, and the memory.
Characters are helpers, not the headline
Liam Osprey, Harper Mermaid, Captain Lowtide, and Memaw Sue may pop in to introduce activities, printables, and learning moments. They support the experience. They do not replace real families.
Parent Permissions
A parent or guardian must give permission before we photograph a child or create a coloring page from their photo.
Photo permission
We need permission to take and use the photo for the coloring page process.
Email delivery
We ask for a parent or guardian email so we can send the printable link.
Sharing options
Parents can choose whether finished artwork may be shared in Sweet Marie's Kids Corner spaces, such as the Virtual Refrigerator.
Opt-outs
Families can skip any part they are not comfortable with. The goal is fun, not pressure.

No. AI-generated coloring pages are acceptable, and the art style may vary. The consistency comes from Sweet Marie's branding, layout, logo, and presentation.
Can parents opt out of sharing?
Yes. A family can receive a printable page without agreeing to public sharing.
Can adults do this too?
At some events, yes. Kids Corner is family-first, but grown-ups are allowed to have fun too.
