Carolina Characters

Sweet Marie's Kids Corner

Carolina Characters

Meet the friendly guides who help families color, learn, play, cook, explore, and discover Carolina together.

These characters are not the whole show. The real stars are the kids, families, artwork, food, memories, and Carolina places that make Sweet Marie's feel like home.

What Are Carolina Characters?

Carolina Characters are Sweet Marie's friendly activity guides. They help introduce printable coloring pages, family activities, Kids Corner events, Sugar Shack adventures, and simple learning moments about food, history, wildlife, the coast, and community.

Our rule: Carolina Characters support real family experiences. They should feel like little guides on the edge of the page, not like mascots taking over the whole brand.

Meet the Guides

How Families Use Them

Coloring Pages

Characters can introduce themed coloring sheets, activity pages, and printable collections.

Events

They can guide Sugar Shack Saturdays, Shark Week, Lemonade Labs, holiday events, and family activities.

Learning Moments

Short facts, questions, prompts, scavenger hunts, and simple activities families can do together.

Virtual Refrigerator

They can celebrate finished artwork and encourage families to share what they made.

Character Worlds

Each character connects to a part of Carolina life, but the worlds can overlap. A lemonade lesson might include Memaw Sue and a little science. A Shark Week printable might include Harper and a Sugar Shack drink. A coastal history page might bring in Captain Lowtide and Liam watching from above.

Carolina Wildlife

Birds, fish, marshes, woods, waterways, and the animals families see around home.

The Coast & Ocean

Marine life, clean water, beaches, fishing, boats, and coastal stewardship.

History & Community

Local stories, traditions, people, foodways, waterways, and Carolina culture.

Food & Kitchen Skills

Cooking basics, measuring, safety, recipes, family meals, and Sweet Marie's kitchen-table lessons.

Featured Character Activities

Liam's Look Around Challenge

Step outside and notice one bird, one tree, one sound, and one thing you have never paid attention to before.

Harper's Ocean Question

Pick one sea creature and learn what it eats, where it lives, and how people can help protect its home.

Captain Lowtide's Carolina Story

Ask someone in your family about a place, food, job, boat, storm, road, recipe, or tradition they remember.

Memaw Sue's Kitchen Skill

Practice measuring, stirring, tasting, cleaning up, and asking before touching kitchen tools.

For Printables & Events

Characters should make activities easier to understand.

Use them as small friendly helpers on coloring sheets, event signs, printable packs, Sugar Shack activities, and Kids Corner pages. The page layout, Sweet Marie's branding, real photos, and family memories are what keep everything feeling connected.
