Sweet Marie's Kids Corner

Parent Resources

The grown-up side of Kids Corner: permission, privacy, event expectations, photo sharing, safety notes, and how families can participate.

Kids Corner should feel fun for children and trustworthy for parents. This page keeps the practical details in one place so families know what to expect before they join an activity, event, printable project, or Sweet Marie's memory-making day.

What Parents Should Know

Family First

Kids Corner is built around real families, real artwork, real events, and real memories. We want it to feel warm, safe, and simple.

No Purchase Required

Many Kids Corner activities are free and do not require a purchase unless a specific event says otherwise.

Permission Matters

Photo-based activities, shared artwork, and certain hands-on event activities may require parent or guardian permission.

Opt-Out Friendly

Families can choose not to participate in photos, online sharing, ingredients, tools, or any activity that does not feel right for them.

Permissions & Consent

Some Sweet Marie's activities are simple coloring-table fun. Others involve photos, printable downloads, lemonade-making, food or drink ingredients, or sharing finished artwork online. We want permission to be clear, not awkward.

Photos

Photo activities, including Become a Coloring Book Character, require a parent or guardian to approve the photo being taken and used for the printable activity.

Printable Links

We may collect a parent or guardian email so we can send the finished printable link or follow-up activity information.

Artwork Sharing

Families can choose whether finished artwork may be shared on the Sweet Marie's Virtual Refrigerator or social pages.

Hands-On Activities

Activities involving tools, food, drinks, juicers, plastic butter knives, or other materials may require specific permission and supervision.

Simple rule: When in doubt, ask the grown-up first. Families should always be able to say yes, no, or not today.

Photo & Coloring Page Activities

Become a Coloring Book Character

Families can have a photo turned into a custom printable coloring page. The finished page may be sent as a download link to the parent or guardian. Sharing the original photo, finished printable, or colored artwork publicly should always be treated as optional.

Parent Email

Used to send the printable link or activity follow-up.

Child Name

Use only what the family is comfortable providing. First name only is usually plenty.

Sharing Choice

Families can approve or decline sharing on the Virtual Refrigerator or Sweet Marie's social media.

No Pressure

Kids can color, participate, or skip any part. The goal is a good memory, not a forced activity.

Food, Drinks & Ingredient Notes

Some Kids Corner activities and Sugar Shack events may include lemonade, tea, specialty drinks, candy toppers, popping pearls, flavored syrups, edible glitter, gummies, or other ingredients.

Allergies & Sensitivities

Parents should let us know about allergies, sensitivities, food restrictions, or anything their child should avoid.

Optional Add-Ons

Families can skip gummies, popping pearls, glitter, syrups, toppings, or any ingredient they do not want.

Hands-On Drinks

Lemonade-making activities may include measuring, squeezing lemons, shaking cups, and tasting with parent permission.

Ask First

Children should ask a parent or guardian before eating or drinking anything from an activity table.

Event Safety & Supervision

Sweet Marie's events are family-friendly, but they are not drop-off childcare unless a specific registered program says otherwise. Parents and guardians should remain responsible for their children at public events.

Stay Nearby

Public events work best when grown-ups stay close enough to help, answer questions, and keep kids comfortable.

Tool Use

Any activity involving tools, juicers, plastic butter knives, or food preparation should be supervised and permission-based.

Outdoor Events

Weather, bugs, heat, water areas, parking lots, and uneven ground may be part of real-world pop-up events.

Respect the Space

Families should follow event rules, venue rules, staff instructions, and posted safety notes.

For Birthday Parties & Private Events

We can bring the fun, but the details matter.

Birthday parties and private events may include drinks, games, coloring, trivia, karaoke, themed activities, and family-friendly entertainment options. The best setup depends on age range, guest count, location, available space, weather, power, water, timing, and whether food or drink service is included.

Great For

Birthdays, school events, church events, HOAs, libraries, customer appreciation days, employee appreciation days, marinas, festivals, and community events.

Helpful Details

Date, time, location, guest count, age range, activities wanted, food or drink needs, and setup limitations.

Activity Options

Coloring, games, family trivia, kids karaoke, Lemonade Labs, character printables, and themed event add-ons.

Custom Fit

Not every event needs everything. We can keep it simple or build something bigger depending on the day.
